1. Nature of the service
My Last Secret is a family digital-asset ledger and reminder tool. It helps you record the assets, accounts, subscriptions and auto-renewals you hold, and reminds you — or the family members you have authorised — at the appropriate time.
Important: the service is for recording and reminders only. It has no legal effect, never transfers assets on your behalf, and does not autofill logins. It does not replace a will, a notarised document, legal advice, or any document with legal force.
2. Your account and responsibilities
You must register and use your account truthfully and lawfully, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.
Keep your login credentials safe. If you believe someone else is using your account, contact us immediately.
You are responsible for judging and ensuring the truthfulness of what you enter; the service makes no guarantee as to the accuracy of the information you record.
3. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the service to store other people's private information, to carry out unlawful activity, or to upload content that is prohibited by law.
You must not use automated means to mass-register, to farm promotional rewards, or to interfere with the normal operation of the service.
You must not attempt to bypass the permission system, or to probe or attack our systems.
4. Family access and authorisation
Whether and to what extent you share content with family members is entirely up to you, configured inside the product and revocable at any time.
If you are inactive for a long period, the service will send reminders to the family members you have authorised. Throughout this process the service never automatically opens up sensitive information, and never makes any decision about your assets on your behalf.
5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it available and your data secure, but we are not liable for loss caused by events beyond our control, failures of third-party services, errors on your part, or any other cause outside our reasonable control.
The service makes no promise about external outcomes, such as whether a third-party platform will restore an account or whether assets can be passed on successfully.
6. Changes to and termination of the service
We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service, and we will announce material changes on our website.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. If you breach these terms, we may restrict or terminate your access to the service.
7. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service provider is established. Any dispute arising from these terms should first be resolved through good-faith discussion; if that fails, it may be brought before the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
